House of Tartufo – Shipping Policy

1. General Information

House of Tartufo ships fresh truffles and related products worldwide with the highest care, using specialized packaging and express logistics. By placing an order, you accept the terms of this Shipping Policy.


2. Shipping Areas
• We ship to all countries worldwide, except where local regulations restrict the import of fresh truffles or food products.
• It is the customer’s responsibility to verify in advance whether truffle imports are allowed in their country. We cannot be held liable for customs rejections or confiscations.


3. Shipping Times
• Fresh truffles are harvested daily during the season and dispatched from origin immediately after order confirmation.
• Orders are usually shipped within 24–48 hours after payment.
• Estimated delivery times:
• Europe: 24–72 hours.
• North America: 2–5 business days.
• Asia & Middle East: 2–5 business days.
• Rest of the World: 3–7 business days.
• Delivery times are estimates only. House of Tartufo is not responsible for courier delays or customs clearance procedures.


4. Shipping Methods
• All shipments are made via express courier services (e.g., DHL Express, FedEx, UPS, or equivalent).
• Truffles are packed with protective, temperature-controlled materials to ensure freshness during transit.
• A tracking number is provided for each order.


5. Shipping Costs & Customs
• Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on destination, weight, and courier.
• International orders may be subject to customs duties, import taxes, or other fees, which are the sole responsibility of the customer.
• If customs authorities reject or destroy the goods, House of Tartufo is not responsible for refunds.


6. Delivery and Risk of Loss
• Risk of loss or damage transfers to the customer once the package is delivered at the address provided.
• If the customer is unavailable at delivery, the courier may attempt re-delivery or hold the package. House of Tartufo cannot be held liable for spoilage due to failed delivery attempts or incorrect addresses provided by the customer.


7. Inspection Upon Delivery
• Customers must inspect goods immediately upon receipt.
• Complaints must be sent within 24 hours of delivery to admin@houseoftartufo.com, following our mandatory Complaint Procedure (whole product photo, cut in half, photo on scale with visible weight).


8. Special Conditions for Fresh Truffles
• Truffles are perishable and seasonal.
• Freshness is guaranteed at the time of dispatch.
• Natural variations (such as wormholes, internal marks, or reduced compactness at end of season) are normal and do not qualify as defects.
• If a truffle is proven rotten/unusable, we will either:
• Replace the defective weight immediately at our expense, OR
• Issue a credit note for the affected weight.
• ⚠️ Full refunds are never available for fresh truffles.


9. Force Majeure

House of Tartufo is not liable for delays or non-delivery caused by events beyond our control, including but not limited to: extreme weather, strikes, natural disasters, customs delays, pandemics, or courier failures.
